Prerequisites Knowledge corresponding to a basic course in human-computer interactionis required. Participants are expected to contribute with their own researchproblems within an area related to dialogue or natural language interfaces.

Content
  1. Human dialogue concepts and methods of analysis.
  2. Face-to-face communication; non-verbal communication.
  3. The impact of the medium on dialogue processes.
  4. Models for human-machine dialogue; dialogue management.
  5. Spoken human-machine dialogue.
  6. Multi-modal dialogues for HMI applications.
Literature

A collection of articles will be distributed.

Examination Active participation in seminars. A research paper applying the courseconcepts and methods to dialogue data from a selected HMI area.
